when dickie morris events approached rock paper scissors several weeks ago about throwing a party to launch the new OpenSpace event space, we were excited at the chance to help brand and shape the look and feel of the event (that's our favorite thing to do!). from the original concept of yellow & gray, the color palette was expanded to compliment the space and included robin's egg blue and spring green. as a matter of fact, spring "sprouted" into the overarching theme for the evening!
once the colors and theme were established, we wanted to create signage that was personal, playful and interactive, a metaphor for OpenSpace. the result was the "hug me" wrap-around glass tags along with "pick me," "eat me," and "i'm yours" food enhancer tent cards (you have seen the gray's anatomy episode where Meredith opines, "pick me. choose me. love me." haven't you?), and a nudge to "get in here"! two large scale signs and a whimsical garland were strategically placed to carry out the theme.
overall, wednesday evening's spring fling to showcase OpenSpace and it's versatile event space was a big success! just off the downtown mall with crisp, clean architectural lines, modern orb lamps, and an overall less-is-more vibe, OpenSpace is an ideal location for a rehearsal dinner for that minimalist couple; great for a tech-related conference; or maybe it's as simple an occasion as the celebration of spring!
ofcourse you'll want to book a photographer in order to capture all of the amazing details that come together oh-so-perfectly. all photography seen here shot by Jen Fariello Photography.
