April is National Letter Writing Month, and this April marks the third year of the Write_On Campaign! Rock Paper Scissors has accepted the challenge again this year and we are thrilled to be a retail partner! In addition to the 10 free kits that Egg Press is sending RPS for giveaway, #teamRPS will be contributing 10 additional free kits of our own including: 4 RPS-designed cards, 1 Rifle Paper Co card (donated by #riflepaperco) , 1 roll of locally-made Beve! washi tape (donated by #beve), 1 gold paint-dipped canvas carryall tote, and 1 felt tip Le Pen in varying colors (donated by Le Pen) - with a total retail value of $46! We will be doling out our 10 with Egg Press' 10 kits starting Monday, April 4th - at just 5 a day for 4 days... no purchase necessary, you just have to ask for one! we thought it was fair to spread it out to our customers in the event someone isn't able to make it in on a given day! and just remember, you don't necessarily need a kit to start writing. plus, no one is judging if you don't make it to 30 letters - all you can do is try, right?! (and again, a huge things to our partners who donated items to the RPS kits - rifle paper co, beve, and le pen!)

Write_On is a campaign to promote joy, creativity, expression and connection through hand-written correspondence. Inspired by Egg Press founder Tess Darrow’s challenge to herself to write a letter daily, the campaign officially launched in 2014 with the entire staff of Egg Press and Hello!Lucky challenging ourselves, our friends, our families, and our fans to write 30 letters in 30 days over the month of April, National Letter-writing Month.
In 2014, we offered free sets of 4 beautiful Hello!Lucky and Egg Press letterpress printed notes to inspire everyone to start writing. We gave away more than 2,000 kits and were flooded with written letters, shoutouts and photos on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. In 2015, we upped the ante vowing to give away over 5,000 kits - each including a Sakura of America Gelly Roll pen. They were all spoken for before National Letter-writing Month even began!
In 2016, Write_On will be bigger and better than ever before!
+ In April of 2016, our goal is to give away 10,000 kits, each containing 6 letterpress cards!
+ We'll be hosting more letter-writing events this April! Our events page lists when and where you can join us.
+ Sakura of America, maker of the beloved Gelly Roll pen, has graciously donated 5,000 pens for this year’s Write_On kit.
+ We have partnered with Mohawk to provide fine paper and envelopes for our Write_On kits.
+ Chronicle Books will be hosting giveaways, events, and promotions during the month of April.
+ Dozens of small independent boutiques nationwide will be joining the campaign. Look for Write_On products and our poster in your hometown and show your support by shopping local!
